Injecting future planned development projects

Hello,

What is the best process to inject future planned development projects in the model? I have seen the cloud based platform has the option to create new "Known Development Projects" through a wizard. But I am struggling to figure out how to incorporate such projects in the developer mode.

This is how we do it at present. Totally home grown, so don't know if it is best practise.
